Ansumana B Janko a.k.a Genial man was born in the upper river division of the Gambia. His mother is a Koring woman from Senegal. He was nurtured by his grand mama who was also a Griot. Ansu-B was influenced in the scene at a tender age when he used to move with friends who were griots and used to practice the playing of KORA with them alongside BONGO. Its where he got inspired musically through cultural and traditional performances at the youth centers. When he reached the junior secondary school he started writing songs for himself but was difficult for him at the time but he never gave up. He then met one of his class teacher who was always ready to open the gates for him and used to help him in writing songs. At high school he was still performing at school inter-house events and at youth centers with a brother & friend he shared almost the same things in common with called "BAT MAN" before becoming a solo artist. The pair worked together for about eight years which gave him more inspiration and the devotion of strength to carry on. He then moved to a different part of the country to know it first, where he met different artists with whom he used to chant and sing with. In 2005 Ansu-B released his first promotional tune called "REJOICE and BE JUST" recorded at BULLDOFF STUDIOS by the late M.J(R.I.P). REJOICE was a track which contains loads of fruitful and a truthful message and made so many headlines in and around of the country and was promoted in all radio stations across the country.

In the year 2007 he make a moved to Senegal where he met an artist called JZ ADAMS and was featured by him with a track title called "SIDA". He later made a link with a neighbouring artist called KESHLA who also featured him on a track title call "WONDER WHY" & he is still intending to make more tunes wit him in the future. They used to move in & around town together as if they are twins which create the utmost respect between them. In the same year in 2007 he was promised by the late musical benefactor, MJ(R.I.P) for a tune in a lineup but was not meant to happen due to his sudden departure and he later decided to make a tribute track for him called "REST IN PEACE M.J" May his soul rest in perfect peace ameen!! BLOODSHED one of his tunes was recorded at the DUPLEX STUDIOS in Senegal(DAKAR) also in 2007,as a result of endless killing he decided to come up wit that tune for the better solutions before the reversion of the children abused. Now looking forward for more upliftment not for him alone but wit all the uprising ones he said.
